Keep it simple...

{1,2,3}
I've been trying to keep it simple when it comes to my outfits recently.  And I've even managed to streamline my morning makeup routine to just tinted moisturizer, eyeliner and mascara - a much-needed time saving solution to my stressful mornings. I wear mostly neutral colors, such as beige, grey and cream and accessorizing with chunky scarves. For a pop of color, I paint my nails with dark maroon nail polish to add some brightness to my neutral outfits.  I hope these pictures inspire you to doll up in cozy/stylish outfits that can bring comfort and confidence to your gloomy days at work (or maybe not so gloomy days, depending on where you are)

That Christmas Feeling...

{1,2,3}
This weekend I did quite a bit of shopping, walked arm-in-arm in cold weather with my love to look at decorated city center, while warming my hands with a festive cup of gingerbread latte.  In the evenings, I pempered myself with warm baths under candle light, and painted my nails with Essie glitter nail polish to top off that Christmassy festive mood...and now, looking down at the keyboard as I type, small twinkle of my nail polish warms me with holiday feelings...

What makes you feel festive this holiday season?

Current Fave - cable knit

{1,2,3}

I recently bought a cable knit sweater that I can't get enough of! It makes me feel comfy, stylish and preppy all at the same time. It's the perfect piece that I can wear out in cold without having to worry about too many layers - it keeps me warm and snug.  This one may even trigger a trip to Zara soon...

Love is...

{1, 2, 3}

I just wanted to do a quick update two weeks before my wedding and share this honest phrase about love.  I've been busy working, working out, and finally things seem to slowly come together! I especially feel that way when I step into my dress at my fitting appointemnts...Throughout the week, I've stuck with a workout schedule of 3 days of cardio/strengh training followed by 2 blissful yoga classes in between workouts.  I've also restricted my bread, pasta, rice intake and substitued all with a serving of quinua - let's just hope I stick with this regiment after the wedding too... And, I finally started reading The Happiness Project and it's been wonderful so far, I highly recommend it to everyone.

I hope to catch up soon with all your posts..I've missed blogging.

have a lovely weekend...and a ramble...

{1,2}

Hello my lovely readers!  It's been too long since I've done a rambl-y post...here I am waiting for the work day to be over to get home and start planning my weekend.
As you may know, my wedding is nearing (November) and I've been more than busy, at times even very frustrated at the very last bits of final details for the big day.  But I feel a lot better today knowing that our invitations have finally gone out in mail (phew...it took months of revisions and additions and deletions, and etc...) So, this weekend, I can't wait to spend quality time with my love.  The wedding-planning has really taken up a lot of my time and every so often I've been...well...let's be honest here...not so pleasant to be around with...And...I'm determined to try to compensate for those days and we're going to spend time together in DC, enjoy the Fall weather, grab a frothy latte, walk arm-in-arm and attend a few festivals taking place in the city.

P.S. Thanks for sticking with me through these sporadic blog posts! All 139 of you...I know I keep loosing a few readers here and there, but those of you who always comment (you know who I'm talking about) inspire me so much to keep blogging and stay creative.  It's truly is an inspirational outlet for me.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

The ultimate bouffant or big sexy hair!

{images found on pinterest. the middle image is from UK Glamour magazine, makeup done by Lisa Eldridge}

It's been a while since I've done a hairstyle post, so I decided to present you a collage full of full, big bouffant hair. There's something very feminine and confident in carelessly styled big hair. The best way to achieve this look is to randomly back-comb and tease sections of hair and of course, use lots and lots of hairspray.
Happy big hair day!
