That Christmas Feeling...

{1,2,3}
This weekend I did quite a bit of shopping, walked arm-in-arm in cold weather with my love to look at decorated city center, while warming my hands with a festive cup of gingerbread latte.  In the evenings, I pempered myself with warm baths under candle light, and painted my nails with Essie glitter nail polish to top off that Christmassy festive mood...and now, looking down at the keyboard as I type, small twinkle of my nail polish warms me with holiday feelings...

What makes you feel festive this holiday season?

Current Fave - cable knit

{1,2,3}

I recently bought a cable knit sweater that I can't get enough of! It makes me feel comfy, stylish and preppy all at the same time. It's the perfect piece that I can wear out in cold without having to worry about too many layers - it keeps me warm and snug.  This one may even trigger a trip to Zara soon...

Love is...

{1, 2, 3}

I just wanted to do a quick update two weeks before my wedding and share this honest phrase about love.  I've been busy working, working out, and finally things seem to slowly come together! I especially feel that way when I step into my dress at my fitting appointemnts...Throughout the week, I've stuck with a workout schedule of 3 days of cardio/strengh training followed by 2 blissful yoga classes in between workouts.  I've also restricted my bread, pasta, rice intake and substitued all with a serving of quinua - let's just hope I stick with this regiment after the wedding too... And, I finally started reading The Happiness Project and it's been wonderful so far, I highly recommend it to everyone.

I hope to catch up soon with all your posts..I've missed blogging.

have a lovely weekend...and a ramble...

{1,2}

Hello my lovely readers!  It's been too long since I've done a rambl-y post...here I am waiting for the work day to be over to get home and start planning my weekend.
As you may know, my wedding is nearing (November) and I've been more than busy, at times even very frustrated at the very last bits of final details for the big day.  But I feel a lot better today knowing that our invitations have finally gone out in mail (phew...it took months of revisions and additions and deletions, and etc...) So, this weekend, I can't wait to spend quality time with my love.  The wedding-planning has really taken up a lot of my time and every so often I've been...well...let's be honest here...not so pleasant to be around with...And...I'm determined to try to compensate for those days and we're going to spend time together in DC, enjoy the Fall weather, grab a frothy latte, walk arm-in-arm and attend a few festivals taking place in the city.

P.S. Thanks for sticking with me through these sporadic blog posts! All 139 of you...I know I keep loosing a few readers here and there, but those of you who always comment (you know who I'm talking about) inspire me so much to keep blogging and stay creative.  It's truly is an inspirational outlet for me.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

The ultimate bouffant or big sexy hair!

{images found on pinterest. the middle image is from UK Glamour magazine, makeup done by Lisa Eldridge}

It's been a while since I've done a hairstyle post, so I decided to present you a collage full of full, big bouffant hair. There's something very feminine and confident in carelessly styled big hair. The best way to achieve this look is to randomly back-comb and tease sections of hair and of course, use lots and lots of hairspray.
Happy big hair day!

Ins and Outs {August/September}

IN

Morning lattes - make me happy

Pinterest - It's fast and easy and I keep finding amazing pictures. Check out my page, if you're interested
Crate and Barrel wedding registry - I love everything there and don't feel ashamed adding and adding all kinds of pretty goodnesses to my list...ah...a girl can dream, right?
Bossanova radio station on pandora - it's soothing, rythmic, and helps me concentrate when at work
MAC eyeshadow in Coquette - it's a beautiful shade of olive green and grey.  I blend it on my upper crease line and bring it down a bit on lower lash lines...it creates a sutble smokey eye effect, perfect for every day.

OUT

Rain and humidity - my hair just doesn't like any touch of rain and it's been raining non-stop!
Having bad hair days...not fun and irritating!
Fragranced body care products - my dermatologist recommended I stay away from all kinds of frangrance. I am in no way giving up my beloved perfumes though, just so you know, Dr....no way!

Just look at this gorgeous display of perfumes, I'm in love with this picture...

What are your recent ins and outs?

Tuesday Ramblings...

My face is buried in a coffee mug like her while writing this post...yes, it's one of those days.  I always have a hard time getting back into the work routine after a long weekend.  But I'm so thankful I got to rest these three days, it was much needed in the midst of my nearing wedding planning.  I can't believe it's in less than 3 months away now! Time flew so quickly and I still have so many details to finalize...

10 things to do on a rainy day!

With the upcoming hurricane warnings in the East Coast, I thought I'd share these fun 10 things to do on a rainy day.  Now, I'm hoping there won't be any power outage so that I can enjoy watching movies and browse endlessly through Pinterest; but just in case, I've stocked up on books to that I'm half-way finished with, magazines that I recently received, and abundance of snack-size cattle corn to devour in moments of boredom.

How do you like to spend a rainy day?

Good-bye summer?

I know I complained a lot about the heat and humidity this summer but I just didn't think it would end so soon! I can smell Fall in the air already...air is dry, wind is blowing, sun is shining but it doesn't quite warm as the summer sun does...do you feel the same way? I'm not quite ready for Fall yet...
