Epson provides the machine with the Stylus Photo R3000. The printer uses Epson’s proprietary UltraChrome K3 with Vivid Magenta pigment ink coupled with the MicroPiezo AMC print head for gallery-quality prints. You can run different paper qualities up to 13-inches wide and you can also hook the R3000 to your home network for wireless printing. You’re not really a photographer unless someone actually touches your work in real life, so this printer might be a good investment if you’re too embarrassed to have your shots printed in a lab. $850. Chobicam1 Posted: 20 Jan 2011 04:37 AM PST To give you an idea on how far we’ve come in the field of photography, imagine this: the first ever ‘cameras’ were as big as a house (sometimes bigger) and will take hours of direct sunlight for proper exposure. The Chobicam1 from Japan Trust Techonology (JTT) on the other hand, is just an inch across and an inch wide but still shoots 640×480 AVI videos and 1600×1200 pixel still photos. And it’s shaped like a DSLR! It takes up to 32GB of microSD cards and can be hooked up to your computer for fast transfers. JTT even plans on releasing other lenses for the Chobicam1. ~$120.
