Amanda Ammann Posted: 22 Feb 2011 01:08 AM PST Someone who’s genuinely advocating world peace and goodwill among her fellowmen is Amanda Ammann. How does she do it? By being a citizen of the ultra-neutral country and representing her homeland as Miss Switzerland in 2007. She’s also a degree-holder in International Relations from the University of Geneva. Libya, Bahrain and Yemen could really use somebody like her today, what with all the turmoil from those nations plaguing them right now. Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc Posted: 22 Feb 2011 12:27 AM PST We can all agree that slim is sexy but some prefer slim with a little bit of curve. That’s just what the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc is all about. At just 8.7mm (0.34-inches) at its thickest point, it’s almost as thin as a cracker. It’s not slim on specs though. Sony has years of experience in cameras and displays and they’ve put that experience into good use for the Xperia Arc. The Android 2.3 Gingerbread-powered smartphone comes with an 8-megapixel camera with an Exmor R mobile sensor and a lens that opens at f/2.4. The Reality Display on the 4.2-inch multitouch screen runs on Sony’s Bravia engine and everything is controlled by the 1GHz processor. $TBA. Share This |
Urshuz Posted: 22 Feb 2011 12:01 AM PST In this age of practicality and eco-friendliness, throwing away a pair of shoes is almost a crime. This company however, thinks they have a solution with Urshuz. Basically, they’ve split the upper of the shoe from its sole so when it wears out, you can just swap a new one. Just like recapping a tire, but instead of hot-gluing a new sole, you hook it with U-shaped hoops. You can be creative as well – as you swap the soles for a sneaker, a flip-flop or an open-toe sandal. Of course, if your footwear gets too stinky, you should just chuck it to the trash as quickly as humanly possible. $60. Share This |
Debora Campos Posted: 21 Feb 2011 06:39 AM PST Beneath the layers of clothes and makeup is a person who’s dedicated to her work and grateful for her gifts. That’s how Debora Campos wants the world to know about models like her. The truth without masks, the essence of hard work and the passion for her craft – those are the values she treasures. Of course, being a Brazilian, we’ll treasure her no matter what.
