Palette Coasters Posted: 10 Mar 2011 01:32 PM PST I know of two types of people who will not like the Palette Coasters: stevedores and forklift drivers. Day in and day out, they have to look at wooden palettes at work so leave those two demographics out for these drink accessories. For everyone else, these coasters can be a great conversation piece. Like their actual inspiration, the Palette Coasters are made of wood. Comes in a set of five. $36. Share This |
Nautilus iPhone 4 Dock Posted: 10 Mar 2011 01:13 PM PST Once again, nature shows us that the simplest designs for technology are the most effective. We’ve seen iPhone/iPod amplifiers before that use nothing but design cues from naturally-occurring creatures. The Nautilus iPhone 4 Dock is another one of those. The heavy zinc alloy dock has curves and caverns that amplify the sound from your smartphone’s built-in speakers. If you need to charge it while in playback mode, the Nautilus comes with a USB cable. It’s designed for the iPhone 4 only, so this is useful until the replacement comes along. ~$130. Share This |

Volitude Electric Scooter Posted: 10 Mar 2011 12:08 PM PST How about a Swiss Army knife-esque electric scooter to match your recently-acquired multi-tool? The Volitude Electric Scooter has the same design and efficiency as the world’s most popular folding knife brand in mind. It unfolds in just one second, a lot faster than the time it takes to use any Swiss Army implement (toothpick and tweezer notwithstanding). Four hours of charging gives you 18 miles of electric fun which can be extended if you set a slower pace. Hydraulic disc brakes allow for quick stops and the built-in front and rear lights alert motorists of your presence; if they’re not drawn yet to the fact that you’re onboard a giant Swiss Army knife on wheels. $TBA. The Water And Light Lawn Show Posted: 10 Mar 2011 02:31 AM PST Stylize your lawn with this color-changing spray which can transform your lawn into a light show. The color changing LEDs are powered by turbine generator. The water produces a fine mist that transitions into different colors from red to blue to green to yellow to purple. It produces a gentle mist that won’t harm the flower petals. Plus, it needs no batteries since it is powered by the water from the garden hose. $50. Share This |
